KEYNOTE STAGE 1
Making a difference: the importance of sustainable sourcing for interior design
03 March / 15.15 - 16.00
It has never been more important to show our commitment as an industry to sustainable design practices. The panel, which includes members of the BIID Sustainability Committee, will explore the importance of the designers role in advising clients on the environmental and social impact of their projects and discuss the sustainability challenges associated with specifying products, materials and technologies. What are the supply chain / lifecycle considerations that need to be considered when sourcing? What are the other important questions that designers need to ask suppliers and project implementation teams, to encourage them to offer or facilitate lower impact solutions? As interior designers, we have a unique opportunity to inform and inspire our clients and one of the key ways we can make a difference, is through careful sourcing. Find out how by attending this informative panel discussion.
