KEYNOTE STAGE 2
The Revised Manual for Streets – a must for all engaged in street design
03 March / 11.15 - 12.00
The revised Manual for Streets will update and bring together the existing Manual for Street and Manual for Streets 2.
Given that streets and roads currently make up three-quarters of all public space, their design and how they function has a huge impact on the quality of place and people’s lives as well as on economic and social vitality and environmental sustainability. The Manual aims to provide the right technical advice so that it is used to deliver a better public realm for all. This session looks at what the new manual offers by those who have been creating it.
