KEYNOTE STAGE 2
Practical applications of flexibility in building retrofit
03 March / 12.15 - 13.00
Building retrofit has traditionally focused on reducing the amount of energy that we use. But with increasing variability in the supply of energy, the focus is now on when a building uses energy rather than how much they use. In this session we will look at the issue of flexibility in the context of building retrofit and outline practical steps building owners can take to benefit from innovations, such as dynamic time of use tariffs and payments for demand side response. In addition, we will explain how DNOs can get increasingly involved in building retrofit projects and what technologies can help building owners right now to benefit.
