Water quality: the rise of VDI2035 and electrochemistry from a user's perspective
01 March / 11.50 - 12.35
CIBSE have recognised VDI 2035 in the CP1 Heat network code of practice and more recently in the Heat network design guide. CIBSE even states that VDI 2035 principles are best for large volume networks and networks that have low or intermittent flows. This recognition and the experiences of current users is pushing the growth of non-chemical additive water treatments in both new build and retrofitted networks. In this session clients and water treatment experts discuss their experiences of using electrochemistry to deliver VDI2035 water quality standards in protecting EC’s and DHNs from corrosion and bacteria.
