A new RIBA-commissioned report, Build It Together, sheds light on women’s experiences in architecture more than two decades after a landmark study first exposed widespread inequality in the profession. Despite progress in some areas, the findings reveal that many of the same challenges remain, including pay gaps and exclusion from progression. I finished Part 1 twenty and a bit years ago, so feel I know this story through my contemporaries working as architects in practice – and those in the wider built environment sector.
