Wise heads: Who is going to deliver the industry change needed and how?

One of the major challenges to which the industry has to respond effectively is decarbonising the built environment, given that buildings are the second largest source of climate emissions after surface transport. The recognised gaps in government policy will need to be addressed but this session is about industry action. Businesses across the whole built environment value chain need to take positive action now so this session features industry experts who will outline what needs to be done, how and by whom.

FUTUREBUILD PROPOSITION NO. 12: The industry has a duty of care to act to decarbonise the built environment whether or not government policy requires this.

Chair: Julie Hirigoyen, Chief Executive, UKGBC

Panel:
Jo Mills
, Head of Decarbonisation, Willmott Dixon
Jennie Colville, Head of ESG & Sustainability, LandSec
Ben Smith, Director for Energy and Climate Change Consulting, Arup
