Futurebuild welcomes Vision in 2019
Futurebuild is excited to partner with and welcome Vision to the 2019 event, to provide a London focused seminar programme alongside an unrivalled networking opportunity for architects, housebuilders and developers.
The seminar programme on the show floor, curated by Vision, will be surrounded by an exhibition of the brands aligned to the 100@London networking and dinner event, which will take place on the first day of Futurebuild (05 March 2019). With a variety of critical issues facing the built environment, it has never been more pressing to explore these challenges and provide ways of delivering results that make a positive impact London, as well as the wider environment and society.
As part of the collaboration between Futurebuild and Vision, leading speakers from the architectural world and beyond will discuss and debate the future vision for London. These will focus on the key themes of The London Plan of ensuring it is:
- A city that meets the challenges of economic and population growth
- An internationally competitive and successful city with a strong and diverse economy
- A city of diverse, strong, secure and accessible neighborhoods
- A city that delights the senses and takes care over its buildings and streets,
- A city that becomes a world leader in improving the environment locally and globally,
- A city where it is easy, safe and convenient for everyone to access jobs, opportunities and facilities
These themes will also be central to Vision’s 100@London networking evening, an event that fosters collaboration and provides the chance to exchange ideas around key industry issues. This is the latest edition in the influential 100@ event series around Europe, which connects 100 senior architects, developers and housebuilders, with 30 key manufacturers. The three-course gourmet dinner will include high profile industry speakers covering the major visions for London.
Martin Hurn, Managing Director at Futurebuild, said: “We are extremely excited to have Vision at the event for 2019. Last year, Futurebuild attracted over 26,500 visitors and 450 exhibitors from across the built environment. Vision’s presence will help to expand the high level of content available to audiences and encourage new and returning brands to exhibit. It will provide senior decision makers and specifiers with much needed London focused material, as well as a networking opportunity unlike any other. By bringing these people together we can tackle the big issues facing the world’s leading cities head on to predict and plan for a better future, with a real focus on the role of architectural practitioners.”
Matt Underhill, Managing Director at Vision, added: “It makes perfect sense for Futurebuild 2019 to be the base for Vision – we are simply adding to the already fantastic event programme already in place. We both share the same values in that we want to create the ultimate destination for senior representatives to collaborate and create action plans for change. Our 100@ networking and dinner series will also offer a new layer to Futurebuild, attracting the top architects, suppliers and house builders to an already busy event.”
Futurebuild is the evolution of ecobuild.
At Futurebuild 2019, opinion-shapers, decision-makers and product innovators will join under a common purpose to explore the latest technologies and approaches, and debate the biggest issues facing the built environment – now and in the future – both in the UK and overseas.
This ethos will be brought to life through six Futurebuild Hubs. Providing dedicated platforms that unite sector-specific experts and innovators with leading brands and organisations, the Hubs are the place to showcase innovation and launch and promote products with highly engaged audiences. Home to focused education, research and inspiration, the Hubs enable visitors to prepare for tomorrow by taking action today.
The Futurebuild Hubs surround the central ecobuild conference, which will sit at the heart of the event. This ideas arena will challenge industry to ‘think the unthinkable’ with a programme of inspiring speakers and game-changing discussions – all focused on examining and sparking action on the most important, far-reaching societal and environmental issues.
Over 26,500 decision-makers will descend on London’s ExCeL, London, from 05-07 March 2019 to learn about the latest products and collaborate around delivering improved results.
