Setting the Stage for the Future of Energy
Futurebuild and the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) are joining forces to explore the future of energy at Futurebuild 2019. This strategic partnership puts the ADE at the centre of the Energy Hub, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss and debate how to deliver a user-led, flexible, smart energy future.
The ADE is the leading trade association for decentralised energy, representing more than 120 interested parties from across the industrial, commercial and public sectors. The two ADE pavilions will explore innovations across the whole energy landscape from heat networks, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Demand Side Response (DSR) and energy efficiency.
Martin Hurn, Managing Director of Futurebuild Events, said: “We are delighted to partner with the ADE in our Energy Hub. This association is firmly focused on bringing together its members to educate them around the future vision for energy, while championing best practice in the industry. The ADE is a perfect fit for this Hub which will unite professionals engaged in designing, specifying, supplying and installing services and products involving energy production and use.”
The ADE is also a partner of, and one of the main content providers for, the Energy Seminar Theatre. This will highlight the latest research and best practice, with exhibitors demonstrating technologies in this sector. The ADE’s sessions will explore the future of energy demand and supply at both domestic and city levels. These seminars will share new ways of doing things and will have value to all those involved in the industry.
Dr Joanne Wade, incoming Deputy Director at the ADE, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Futurebuild and having the opportunity to share new ideas that will help attendees put consumers at the heart of a decentralised energy system – whether in domestic or urban energy settings.”
72% of the visitors attending Futurebuild want to see new products. The senior-level decision-makers visiting the Energy Hub will include energy buyers, energy managers, sustainability managers and facilities managers representing housebuilders, housing associations, educational institutions and all areas of the public sector. Futurebuild is the evolution of ecobuild.
At Futurebuild 2019, opinion-shapers, decision-makers and product innovators will join together under a common purpose to explore the latest technologies and approaches, and debate the biggest issues facing the built environment – now and in the future – both in the UK and overseas.
This ethos will be brought to life through six Futurebuild Hubs. Providing dedicated platforms that unite sector-specific experts and innovators with leading brands and organisations, the Hubs are the place to showcase innovation and launch and promote products with highly engaged audiences. Home to focused education, research and inspiration, the Hubs enable visitors to prepare for tomorrow by taking action today.
The Futurebuild Hubs surround the central ecobuild conference, which will sit at the heart of the event. This ideas arena will challenge industry to ‘think the unthinkable’ with a programme of inspiring speakers and game-changing discussions – all focused on examining and sparking action on the most important, far-reaching societal and environmental issues.
Over 26,500 decision-makers will descend on London’s ExCeL, London, from 05-07 March 2019 to learn about the latest products and collaborate around delivering improved results.
