Zip Water UK chosen as exclusive water provider at this year's Futurebuild
Creator of the world’s most advanced drinking water system, Zip Water UK, will be keeping visitors to this year’s Futurebuild exhibition hydrated while also educating guests on how drinking water in the workplace should form a key part of sustainability strategies.
Providing access to the only available water at the show - thanks to organisers committing to make Futurebuild plastic bottle-free - Zip will be offering filtered chilled and sparkling water from its water bar located in the Interiors Zone. Visitors will be able to experience the incredible HydroTap, which provides filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water instantly, and the new HydroChill, a high-capacity system offering filtered chilled and sparkling water. Elsewhere in the show, Zip’s products have been chosen to be included on the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) stand (F160) providing another water access point as well as a valuable endorsement of Zip’s systems.
Zip’s commitment to helping businesses reduce their plastic waste has been at the forefront of its activity since last year, launching its ‘Reuse Refill Refresh’ campaign to not only highlight the effect of plastic waste but promote sustainable alternatives.
“Sustainable design goes so much deeper than just how a building is constructed,” comments Russell Owens, marketing director at Zip, “and one element that can easily get overlooked, but ideally needs consideration at the start of a project, is a building’s drinking water supply. Where previously, bulky, unsustainable water coolers were specified, architects and specifiers are now seeking systems that don’t result in any plastic waste.
“It’s so important that those in a specification role look at mains-fed systems that provide employees with unlimited volumes of filtered drinking water. Having access to water that is enjoyable to drink helps encourage greater hydration which has been proven to impact productivity.”
Unsurprisingly, Zip’s HydroTap can be found in a raft of iconic buildings and within many well-known businesses throughout the UK. From GSK, ITV and The Office Group to The Gherkin and The Shard, Zip is the system of choice.
And, with industry-leading filtration technology thanks to its 0.2 micron MicroPurity filtration – as well as dedicated limescale filters – Zip is proud to offer systems that not only deliver pure-tasting water but also ensure system longevity.
“Futurebuild is a fantastic platform for us to showcase our products to people who really care about sustainability in the workplace”, adds Russell. “We look forward to welcoming guests to our water bar and helping them find the best workplace drinking water solution for their needs”.
