The theme of this year’s Futurebuild fits precisely with BEWI’s own aspirations for the show, as it intends to highlight market-leading products in a number of sectors, all of which are having a major impact within the UK construction industry.
BEWI has been a global market leader and innovator in insulated construction products for more than 40 years, in particular products manufactured from EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) or XPS (Extruded Polystyrene). These are used in construction projects to give buildings class leading thermal efficiency and airtightness, meeting passive house standards and futureproofing construction for years to come.
There will be a range of construction products on display at the show. BEWI products are designed to maximise efficiency on the construction site and also enable the creation of highly energy efficient domestic and commercial buildings, with U-values comfortably exceeding current requirements and contributing to sustainable construction.
BEWI aims to create a circular business which creates a positive impact across its value chain. This is manifested in sustainable procurement, which is linked to resource efficiency, circularity and social responsibility; in the distribution of its products, where it is constantly working to introduce cleaner and leaner logistics, using non-fossil fuel options where possible; recycling, in which the company collaborates with its partners and customers to maximise product collection and recycling; and finally in its aspirations for an inclusive society, where it aims to create a positive impact throughout its value chain.
