Centre for Alternative Technology

Centre for Alternative Technology

For over 50’s the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) had been at the forefront of environmental education. A renowned educational charity researching and communicating solutions for environmental change to inform responses to the climate and biodiversity emergency, it offers a range of activities from its eco-centre in Mid Wales and online from postgraduate education to residential and one-day courses, including vocational training for professionals.

Its courses cover topics from environmental architecture, green building, to renewable energy, behaviour change and more. Currently over 2,500 people have graduated from CAT’s Graduate School, many of whom will also be in attendance at Futurebuild, either on CAT’s stand or representing their own organisations or businesses who are using their skills and knowledge to make a real difference in the face of the climate and biodiversity emergency.
