Natural Stone: The Construction Industry’s Sustainable Solution? - curated by Stone Federation Great Britain

14 May 2026
Buildings and Materials Stage

Natural Stone is the original low-carbon construction material; one that has been used by architects, builders and designers for thousands of years.

In a moment when the construction sector is working hard to deliver a more sustainable built environment, could the solution be found in one of the oldest building materials, arguably, the original sustainable material…natural stone.

In this session, we will be exploring how natural stone has the potential to play a significant role in delivering a low-carbon built environment.

Chaired by Stone Federation, the trade association for the natural stone industry, this session will bring together some of the leading voices around this conversation.
