Regenerative places and buildings - curated by Sustainable Development Foundation

12 May 2026
Buildings and Materials Stage

As the debate about Net Zero policy rages, leading thinkers and practitioners are exploring how to move beyond these constraints into a regenerative future of buildings and places that use natural materials and are net positive – giving back more to the planet than they take.
This session will examine a regenerative approach, based on theory – from the Regenerative by Design handbook - and practice – based on leading-edge examples at both the individual building and neighbourhood scales.

Jon Bootland, Director, Sustainable Development Foundation
