The long-awaited Warm Homes Plan, investing £15 billion to upgrade five million homes by 2030 has reinforced the UK Government's commitment to a 'rooftop revolution'. The Plan aims to rapidly accelerate solar to benefit up to 3 million homes. But how do we deliver this solar target in a way that works for everyone?

From Energy Saving Trust's experience in delivering impartial, tailored advice, green finance solutions and supporting communities this session will explore the role of solar within the Warm Homes Plan. We will discuss how solar uptake can be enabled whilst reflecting on what’s needed to ensure the rollout benefits all households, from those renting or in living in a flat, to those experiencing fuel poverty or in more vulnerable circumstances. With solar set to play a critical role in the years ahead, it is crucial we reflect on how this can create benefits in our communities going forward.
