Timber: What can and can’t be built in London? - curated by Built by Nature

14 May 2026
Buildings and Materials Stage

As an influential global city, London plays a critical role in shaping the policies that enable or constrain low-carbon construction. This panel brings together four project teams delivering commercial, residential, and education buildings across the UK. Each will present their schemes and reflect on whether—and how—these projects could be realised in London today. Together, we will interrogate the policy and viability barriers affecting timber in the capital and explore what needs to change to unlock wider adoption.
