The future of Interiors

A new addition for 2019, the Interiors Hub championed design with purpose, focusing on all of the latest trends and themes within building interiors.

In partnership with the International WELL Building Institute and sponsored by Herman Miller and Milliken, the Hub shined a light on some of the hottest topics in interiors, including biophilic design. From new product designs to the latest thinking on incorporating health and well-being factors into building design, it took a fresh look at key design elements such as colour, sound and materials.

Uniting at Futurebuild 2019 to demonstrate the power of design with purpose

Uniting at Futurebuild 2019 to demonstrate the power of design with purpose

The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) is excited to engage with the industry to demonstrate the benefits of supporting people’s health and well-being. As a strategic partner of Futurebuild, and headline partner of the new Interiors Hub together with Milliken and Herman Miller, we wanted to ensure that designing for health and well-being was central to the agenda.

IWBI, Milliken and Herman Miller showcased the latest research, case studies and practical design guidance. Together they curated content for the Interior Hub’s seminar programme, with a focus on health and well-being in building design, materials, build and use.

Zip Water Bar

Zip Water Bar

Creator of the world’s most advanced drinking water system, Zip Water UK, kept visitors hydrated during their visit, whilst educating guests on how drinking water in the workplace should form a key part of sustainability strategies.

Zip’s commitment to helping businesses reduce their plastic waste has been at the forefront of its activity since last year when it launched its ‘Reuse Refill Refresh’ campaign, which highlighted both the effect of plastic waste and promoted sustainable alternatives. With Futurebuild being plastic bottle-free, visitors could go to the Zip Water Bar, located in the Interiors Hub, where they could see the HydroTap in action and have access to filtered, chilled and sparkling water.
