Maintenance Electrician

The Shift Maintenance Electrician at one of the largest quarries in the UK is responsible for ensuring electrical systems and equipment function properly. Duties include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, as well as troubleshooting and installing new systems. They also carry out start-up and shut-down routines, maximise plant throughput, and perform planned maintenance, ensuring accurate records are kept. Location: Whatley Frome Key responsibilities include maintaining static plant, operating machinery safely, supporting the installation of electrical systems, and adhering to health and safety standards. The role involves managing LV/HV installations, maintaining motors, and working with instrumentation systems. The electrician also supports capital investment projects, trains apprentices, and uses maintenance software to log activities. They work with control and safety systems and may assist with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
