Our Engineering team are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer, to be based at our
head office in Macmerry, in the outskirts of Edinburgh. Reporting to the Head of Engineering
the role will be pivotal in the definition, ideation, development and launch of new and
modified products.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and
thermal properties of materials and manufacturing processes. Working experience of 3D
Modelling using Autodesk or equivalent is also essential and you would ideally understand
PCM and their use for heat storage.

Working with Business development teams both in the UK and overseas, the candidate will
be skilled in understanding customer requirements and translating these into viable
opportunities for Sunamp.

Degree and above qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, with a minimum of 3 years’
experience in a similar field

As a Production Operator, you will play a vital part in our production process. You’ll be operating some of the largest machinery and equipment in the industry and contribute to the production of around 1 million tonnes of steel every year. You’ll be trained to work across various parts of the plant, using your existing knowledge and experience whilst learning new skills. Health and Safety is your number one priority. You’ll have experience following strict processes and procedures and be confident to speak out if something is wrong.

The successful candidate will form part of the Production Team and with training given, operate Robots, Automatic Saw Lines and Overhead Cranes. Applicants should be fit, have an aptitude for manual work.

You will be an experienced engineer with a sound knowledge of thermodynamics, heat

Degree and above qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally chartered status, you
will have a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a similar field, with an understanding of
grant funded projects.

The role would be suited to a candidate working in a mid-senior level engineering role, with
the ability and also desire to lead teams during a period of rapid growth and change.

Our engineering team is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior New Product Introduction
Engineer, they will be located at our head office, outside of Edinburgh and will be responsible for
production implementation of our new products. This will also include assuming responsibility of our supply chain and the factory support required to help bring our new products to life.
