OUR Commitment to YOUR Safety
Your health and wellbeing is our top priority
The health and safety of our attendees and all staff is of paramount importance when running face to face events, and we are working hard with the venue and relevant industry bodies to ensure that you have absolute peace of mind whilst being able to experience the event and see the latest products in a safe and sound environment.
As such, we have put in place a comprehensive series of steps to ensure we provide a safe and successful event for all involved. We ask you to please read and follow the guidance below to prepare you for your visit to the event and to safeguard the health and safety of both yourself and those around you.
Your safety is our priority and we have been working hard on implementing safety and sanitary protocols to ensure the event is safe for you to meet and do business again. We have partnered with SGS to ensure your safe participation and to ensure we can meet the highest international standards and protocols. The new partnership will ensure you can participate with complete peace of mind.
Verifying COVID-19 status
Attendees may be asked to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to ExCeL and the event. This will need to be one of the following:
- Proof of completion of a full course vaccination 2 weeks prior to arrival. Proof is shown via the NHS app, NHS.UK, your vaccination record, or a letter from the NHS. Visitors to the UK can use the equivalent from their country of origin.
- Proof of a negative lateral flow or PCR test result taken within 48hrs of arrival at the venue. A lateral flow test must be reported to the NHS website or app and the result shown via the NHS App, SMS text, or email. Lateral flow tests are available for free from the NHS website or your local pharmacy.
- Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.
Cleaning & Hygiene
Comprehensive cleaning and disinfection protocols
All surfaces at Futurebuild are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants. The most frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected at regular intervals. Electrostatic spraying technology ensures the highest standards of hygiene.
Hand hygiene
Hand sanitiser stations will be available everywhere on the exhibition floor and in common areas such as seminar theatres. Please make use of them regularly during the day!
Smart Badge contactless technology
The safest way to visit an event is through the use of our Smart Badge, which requires no physical contact and guarantees a 100% safe event experience. You may be sent your Smart Badge in the mail before the show, or you can print it out at the entrance. Thanks to the embedded NFC chip you can use your badge throughout the event to gather product and stand information with a touch of your badge. At the end of the day you receive all collected information via email.
Cashless payment
To protect your personal health and safety, we only accept cashless payments at Easyfairs venues.
Food & Drinks
You can still purchase food and drinks at our events and venues. For your safety, they are provided in prepacked servings, so there is no risk of infection. We kindly ask you to use the hand sanitisers available at catering points before eating and drinking.
Personal protection & detection
Temperature screenings
Automatic temperature screenings before you enter the event will tell us if you have a temperature of 38° or above. If this is the case, take a seat in the designated area for ten minutes and we will measure your temperature again. If on a second screening your temperature has fallen below 38°, no problem, welcome! If your temperature is still above 38°, we will be unable to grant you admission. We recommend that you check your temperature before leaving home as a precaution and to avoid any inconvenience.
Face masks
We are a mask-friendly event. We encourage attendees to consider wearing masks, especially when in enclosed or crowded spaces.
Plexiglass shields
Plexiglass shields will be installed at registration desks, information points, catering points and counters staffed by team members where necessary throughout the event floor.
Physical distancing
Social distancing and crowd management
We kindly ask you to observe social distancing when moving the venue and exhibition halls. This social distancing rule will be adapted according the local safety regulations. Clear signage and floor stickers will help you respect this distance.
Elbow bumps replace handshakes!
Handshakes are “on hold” for the time being! We know this is tough, as a handshake is the natural form of business greeting. We suggest you greet with an elbow bump. Alternatively, a nice “air kiss” is a friendly way to greet. A simple wave or a thumbs-up will also do nicely. So long as the greeting is without physical contact … feel free to use your own style.
Online registration and touchless scanning
Please register online before the event, as registration onsite is not possible. You can either print out your admission voucher, which has a barcode, or bring it on your mobile device. You will then be able to scan the barcode at one of our touchless scanning stations.
Online ticket sales
Some Easyfairs events require you to purchase a ticket. Please purchase it/them online in advance, as this will not be possible onsite. You can either print out your ticket, which has a barcode, or bring it on your mobile device. You will then be able to scan the barcode at one of our touchless scanning stations. Please note that for your safety, onsite printing is no longer possible.
Registration timeslot
We will make it convenient for you to register for a specific timeslot to arrive at the event so that we can ensure the appropriate checks are made on arrival and limit the number of people in the registration area at any one time. You can amend the timeslot you selected after you register by using your registration key that you will find in your confirmation email.
Online assistance
By consulting our website you’ll be able to make your visit as efficient as possible. You can use the exhibitor catalogue and content programme to plan which companies and products you would like to see, and which seminars to attend. We kindly advise you to plan ahead so you can arrive on time for any seminars, as places may be limited due to social distancing measures.
Stay home if you feel ill
Finally, as much as we want to see you at our events, we kindly ask you to respect everyone’s health and safety. If you feel at all ill – including mild cold symptoms or a high temperature – please stay at home.
Thank you for observing these rules – stay safe and we hope to see you soon!
