Alex is an award winning architect and sustainability expert. They are a Director and founder at KIN (sustainable developers, architects, and community-enablers), a Director at Transform-ER (end-to-end delivery model for retrofit at scale), and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Vundahaus (EWI and facade manufacturing startup). They are passionate about creating environmentally and socially sustainable communities and homes, and driving change through systems thinking – with their work spanning Passivhaus and net zero buildings, retrofit, MMC construction innovation, collaborative contracting, community-led development, cradle-to-cradle design, and digital platform design. Alongside project work they have contributed to a range of initiatives including being a key contributor to LETI Climate Emergency Retrofit Guide; co-leading Westminster City Council’s Retrofit Taskforce; contributing to the RIBA Awards sustainability criteria, Plan of Work, and 2030 Climate Challenge, and helping set up the Climate Framework.
