Anthony Hobley
Anthony Hobley is a sustainability leader who builds market platforms where impact drives profit. He is Co-Lead for Insurance with the High-Level Climate Champions Team in support of the UN High Level Climate Champions and Adjunct Professor of the Singapore Institute for Technology. Until recently Deputy Chair of Climate Risk & Resilience at the insurance brokers, Howden Group. His career spans law, carbon markets, climate finance, philanthropy and industrial decarbonisation: including roles as first CEO of the Carbon Tracker Initiative, Executive Director of the hard to abate industry platform The Mission Possible Partnership, an Executive Fellow at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Nature and Climate, and Equity Partner at global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright. He has spent much of the past decade arguing that insurance and risk pricing are the missing infrastructure for climate and nature finance, the layer that determines whether nature-based solutions translate from environmental benefit into bankable, insurable, value-generating assets.
