Dinka Izetbegovic
Following an early architectural career at Sauerbruch Hutton, de Matos Ryan, and PRP, where she worked on a range of residential and specialist housing projects, Dinka has spent the last 16 years at Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC), working across several directorates as part of the Intelligent Client Capital Delivery team.
During this time, she has helped to successfully deliver numerous multi-million pound capital projects spanning education, leisure, and specialist housing, ensuring they meet both the Council’s strategic objectives and the needs of residents.
This includes two of the Council’s most recent housing developments for older people: Marigold House care home in Leighton Buzzard, and Red Kite Meadows in Flitwick—the Council’s largest capital development to date—which provides residential care, independent living apartments, short break respite accommodation, and a range of community amenities.
Both projects have been delivered to Passivhaus standards and reflect the Council’s commitment to sustainability, leading by example and using its influence to support the transition to a greener future. Red Kite Meadows is set to become the largest certified Passivhaus care provision development in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.
