Dr Anastasia Nikologianni
Anastasia Nikologianni holds an EIT Climate-KIC labelled PhD in Landscape Architecture and climate emergency with regards to the role of low carbon, spatial quality and the contribution design can make to the development of regional landscape-based spatial strategies. Anastasia is also qualified as a Landscape Architect MA and Agriculturist/Horticulturist M.Sc. and is an Academic Member of the Landscape Institute (AMLI). Most of her recent research has focused on climate emergency issues, the extent to which spatial quality and low carbon can be delivered in regional landscape design as well as the way visual representations contribute to the design process.
Always keen to conduct further research Anastasia has continuous research publications and participation in scientific conferences covering both landscape architecture and climate crisis topics.
Holding committee positions are giving her the opportunity to work at the cutting-edge of the climate emergency solutions and the landscape profession.
She is the Director of the Young Landscape Architects and Emerging Professionals of IFLA World aiming to support landscape architects and designers. Anastasia sits in the Climate Change working group of IFLA Europe and the Student Competition working group of IFLA World as well as various committees of the Landscape Institute.
