Dr Eleanor Ratcliffe is a Lecturer in Environmental Psychology at University of Surrey. Her work focuses on restorative environments, place experience, and links between environment and wellbeing. This work unites study of both the natural and built/urban environment. She also conducts research on consumer and user experience, especially with regard to improving perceptions and behaviours around goods and services. She is increasingly interested in links between consumer behaviour and sustainability. Before becoming a psychologist Ellie trained in art and design, and combines aspects of her work in environmental psychology with design thinking and research.
