Dr Emma Ferranti holds an EPSRC Living With Environmental Change Fellowship at the University of Birmingham and works with regional stakeholders to provide evidence-based green infrastructure solutions for urban challenges such as air quality and climate change. She is also the facilitator for the Midlands branch of the Trees and Design Action Group. TDAG brings together a group of individuals, professionals and organisations from wide ranging disciplines in both the public and private sectors to increase awareness of the role of trees in the built environment. Emma’s research interests include the impact of weather on infrastructure, green infrastructure, air quality, and GIS. She has a background in geography, earth and environmental sciences, and research experience in academia and consultancy.
