Giulliana Giorgi

Allies & Morrison

Giulliana Giorgi is an architect at Allies and Morrison, lecturer and design tutor at Ravensbourne University London, and researcher focused on advancing the use of indigenous stone in contemporary construction. She leads Unlocking Indigenous Stone Construction in the UK, a RIBA-funded research platform mapping quarries, supply chains and the barriers to wider adoption. Her work brings together architects, engineers, developers, insurers and quarry operators to explore how structural stone can become a scalable, low-carbon alternative to conventional materials. Her research has been shared through exhibitions, industry roundtables and public talks, and contributes to collaborations developing prefabricated structural stone systems. Giulliana was recognised as one of the RIBA Rising Stars 2025, highlighting her contribution to material innovation, sustainable construction and the integration of research, education and practice.
