Gwilym Still
Gwilym has helped drive the adoption of Passivhaus within the UK construction industry, particularly on larger projects, raising its profile and helping to train future Passivhaus designers. Now our Director of Passivhaus, and a Passivhaus certifier and designer, he is the leader and primary contact for our Passivhaus team.
He has MEP Engineering and Passivhaus experience across all scales of projects, from new-build to retrofit, in a broad range of sectors including offices, galleries, performance and education spaces. He represents the practice on a number of forums and expert panels, including the Passivhaus Trust Technical Panel, and is a Trustee for the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry.
The basis of Gwilym’s Engineering PhD thesis – low cost materials and rainwater harvesting in less economically developed countries – remains highly relevant to the International Outreach Group work he is involved in and passionate about.
He has fitted a heat pump in his house and is working towards having an all-electric home.
