Heather is an urban ecologist at the University of the West of England. She teaches planners, architects and environmental managers about the importance of biodiversity for human health and wellbeing. Her research spans the physical and social sciences, focussing on how biodiversity can be better integrated into urban design for the benefit of all human and non-human residents.
She is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and leads the Artificial Environments Good Practice Guide team.
