Hein Molenkamp has helped positioning the Water Alliance as one of the leading global water clusters. As a unique partnership of private and public companies, government agencies and competence centres, the Water Alliance helps to introduce innovative ideas from entrepreneurs to the (inter) national market. Water Alliance is based at WaterCampus Leeuwarden, which offers a unique research infrastructure and is a meetingpoint for scientists and companies from all over Europe.
Molenkamp has been instrumental behind partnerships with various international (water) tech clusters and is frequently asked as a panel member and public speaker at various conferences and exhibitions around the globe. In 2017, he was ranked #12 on WWI’s list of the top 25 global water leaders.
“The water technology sector is an important sector in this time of growing populations, urbanisation and globalisation. The companies Water Alliance works with are developing innovations that are beneficial to the world. These innovations contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world, a case in which I love to be involved in”
