Jess Hrivnak
Jess Hrivnak is the RIBA’s Sustainability Lead, and member of the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UKNZCBS)’s Technical Steering Group. She spearheads the Institute’s work on net zero and climate action guidance. She is responsible for the RIBA’s 2030 Climate Challenge guidance and is the author of the RIBA’s Chartered Practice Sustainable Development Toolkit, published to enable Practices to measure and improve their environmental, social, and ethical business impacts. She works collaboratively within the Institute and with partner organisations to improve climate literacy, align design targets, strategies and processes. She is frequent public speaker and is passionate about bridging gaps between sectors and disciplines to enable better guidance and action to improve planetary and human health outcomes. She guest tutors and lectures at various Universities on environmental design and sustainability policy.
