Energy Projects Manager, Nottingham City Council
Katie has a decade of experience in the energy industry. She started her career in energy consultancy mainly delivering resource efficiency, renewable energy and energy compliance projects for a range of commercial customers. She spent a number of years delivering ESOS phase 1 as a Lead Assessor across a wide variety of sites before moving into energy project management. Katie has delivered a range of high profile projects, including management of a £1.5M Salix energy efficiency fund, commercial Solar PV rollout and an innovative ‘vehicle2grid’ electric fleet and battery storage demonstrator project. Katie now manages Nottingham City Council’s Energy Projects Team; a diverse team which delivers a range energy projects including cutting edge pilots and also leads on energy and sustainability policy for the City Council, including its ambition to become the UK’s first Carbon Neutral City by 2028. As well as supporting the council to reduce its energy demand, cut costs and tackle climate change the team also work with a growing number of commercial customers across the UK.
