Kieron Doick is Head of the Urban Forest Research Group (UFoRG) at Forest Research, the research agency of the Forestry Commission (FC) and Great Britain’s principal organisation for forestry and tree-related research. UFoRG delivers scientific knowledge on the UKs urban forests: ‘all the trees in and around the urban realm’. Kieron joined Forest Research in 2005. Today, his research interests include assessment of urban forests, quantifying the role of urban forests in delivering ecosystem service benefits to society and valuing these services, and the resilience of urban forests to climate change. Kieron is an expert advisor to the Forestry Commission on brownfield land regeneration to quality greenspace.
