Laura Broderick

Programme Director , Good Homes Alliance CIC

With a background in architecture and a BArch from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Laura brings over 20 years’ experience of working with the built environment sector on programmes for people and planet.

She has worked for key architecture and construction sector organisations including RIBA, CABE, British Council and the Building Centre. At the Building Centre she developed the Retrofit 23, Retrofit 24 and Retrofit 25 exhibitions and event series, as well as delivering the New Homes in New Ways show and summit.

As Programme Director at the Good Homes Alliance (GHA), she is working with members to help catalyse the delivery of high-performance energy efficient homes and places, which enable comfortable and healthy lives. The GHA’s values are to be collaborative, progressive and evidence based for the public good.

Laura uses her skills in stakeholder engagement and communications, to support communities of practice working to increase the quality of homes built today. Through events and projects, the GHA shares best practice guidance on building performance, planning, placemaking and climate adaptation/resilience. The cross-sector membership of GHA allows clients and consultants come together to go ‘beyond business as usual’ to create good homes through new build and retrofit processes.
