Mel leads Arup’s Sustainability Assessments team within the Buildings London group, working closely with project teams to drive improved sustainability outcomes across the entire project lifecycle. Mel’s approach addresses environmental, social, and economic perspectives, ensuring projects deliver meaningful impact.
Under Mel’s leadership, the team provides wellbeing and sustainable design advice, delivers LEED, BREEAM, Home Quality Mark, and WELL assessments, conducts NABERS reviews, and offers strategic sustainability guidance for masterplans and portfolios. Mel is also instrumental in shaping pathways to achieve zero carbon for both new and existing buildings.
