Melissa is an experienced ecologist with over 15 years’ experience integrating biodiversity assets and legislation into practical delivery across the planning and development sector. She leads strategic approaches to biodiversity within the housebuilding industry, driving cultural change, championing nature-led development at scale and encourages community connection with nature.

By combining strategic insight, policy fluency and technical depth, she has successfully guided the implementation of new legislative requirements, raised ecological standards and embedded Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) beyond mandatory compliance, working through robust governance, clear technical guidance and sector-wide best practice.

She champions education and advocacy for the integration of nature into everyday lives, building a deeper awareness of the value of our vital natural assets.
