Michael McGowan is Chairperson of the National Home Decarbonisation Group (NHDG) Policy Working Group. NHDG is a UK-based organization of energy efficiency contractors and energy suppliers focused on large-scale, high-quality, PAS-compliant home energy efficiency retrofits. It acts as a collaborative, unified voice for the sector, working with the Government to improve policy, stimulate innovation, and drive widespread decarbonisation across all housing tenures

Michael is also Divisional Director at WPS, who provide repairs, maintenance, and planned works for social housing and commercial sectors, specializing in large-scale building decarbonisation and energy-efficiency retrofits.

He is a customer focussed, housing leader with 18 years of experience within our sector – across consultancy, client side and contractor/delivery partner roles. He is passionate about providing, warmer, healthier, safer homes for residents and driving lasting change in communities. He is a keen innovator, well networked across the sector and with Government departments, helping shape future policy and strategy within energy efficiency programmes and broader Asset related activities.
