Munashe Mhemba
Munashe Mhemba is a Graduate Planner at Marrons Design, Planning & Development Consultancy and the Building the Future Young Planner of the Year 2025. She is currently completing a Level 7 Chartered Town Planner Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Birmingham, combining academic study with real-world experience on complex urban planning projects.
Munashe works predominantly on residential and mixed-use developments, as well as regeneration schemes, supporting projects from conception through to determination. Her professional interests include planning policy, social equity, and long term place-making.
Alongside her professional role, Munashe is actively involved in Building the Future, where she advocates for early-career professionals and stronger cross-disciplinary collaboration across the built environment. She is particularly passionate about making planning more accessible, transparent and outcome-focused.
At Futurebuild, Munashe will bring a planner’s perspective on what a realistic and collaborative vision for 2030+ should look like, and how today’s planning choices can help turn ambition into delivery.
