Phil graduated from Northumbria University with an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent 22 years at Mitsubishi Electric, initially working in Japan, as part of the design team of their first ever R410a VRF system. On return to the UK, Phil's career path developed rapidly from Product Marketing, Specifier Sales Management to Commercial Product Group Director with overall responsibility for all Mitsubishi Electric commercial product sales.

In 2024, Phil joined Sweden's Qvantum Energy Technology as their first UK CEO, setting up and overseeing all aspects of the UK business operation. Qvantum UK is growing at pace and proving to be a highly innovative and pioneering new entrant within the European residential heat pump market.
