Conservation Adviser, The Woodland Trust
I have worked for the Woodland Trust since 2011, dealing with national forestry policy, urban green infrastructure, planning casework, and local government liaison in London. I now work on parliamentary liaison and advocacy. I have enjoyed working in the nature conservation sector for over 30 years, including as Environment Team Manager in the planning department of a London borough, and as a Biodiversity Adviser at the Greater London Authority (GLA). At the GLA I was the chair of the London Woodland and Veteran Trees Habitat Action Plan, and oversaw the production of the London Tree and Woodland Framework. I am a Chartered Biologist and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
