Rob is Head of Delivery Building -Retrofit, part of the Energy Capital team at West Midlands
Combined Authority. Responsible for successfully leading the delivery team for the last 4
years across SHDF Wave 1, 2.1, and HUG fulfilling the aims and objectives within the
projected timescales for overall delivery. As a Chartered Surveyor with over 35
years' experience within the Housebuilding and Development sectors, he is able
to provide constructive and professional leadership regarding Pre and Post contract delivery
programming, Project Management, financial control, procurement and various methods of
construction.
Having worked and delivered national projects through various government
funding initiatives with the DOE, English Partnerships, and Homes England amongst others,
Rob is well placed to fully understand and implement the requirements and obligations of
the various stakeholders, as he now has responsibility for the leading the WMCA delivery
team on the Devolved Building Retrofit Pilot from April 2025 to 2029.
As part of the support available to the various stakeholders, he has been instrumental in
structuring a Managed Support team, which has proven highly successful by providing
professional and technical compliance support available to all stakeholders in order they can
successfully deliver on their own programme objectives, this has proven a unique approach
across the Retrofit sector, and will prove invaluable to many stakeholders moving forward.
