Dr Rossa Donovan
Head of Environment and Sustainable Development, Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd
Dr Rossa Donovan’s postgraduate work investigated how trees influenced air quality in polluted urban environments, through contribution to ground level ozone and secondary organic aerosols. Formerly Director of Ecology at WYG and WSP, he is now Head of Environment and Sustainable Development at Network Rail managing teams specialising in environment, energy management, social performance and weather resilience & climate change. Having joined NR in 2018 during the Government’s review into how NR manages biodiversity, he is now a key lead in a major transformational programme looking forward to the challenges of managing a safe and biodiverse estate for future generations.
