Architect- Engineer- Writer

I’m an architect-engineer-writer working across disciplines to realise a regenerative economy and built environment.
I seek creative, joyful ways to collaborate with diverse groups to imagine and deliver flourishing ecosystems for humans and the rest of nature. I've had the privilege of working with incredible people from indigenous builders of living structures, to performers and artists, to economists and policy-makers.
As CEO of UKGBC, I worked across the sector to promote a safe, fair, and sustainable future. Highlights included interviewing economists Jason Hickel and James Meadway; research on global ecological impacts and climate adaptation; and representing the UKGBC membership at COP28 and on the Government’s Warm Homes Stakeholder Panel.
I’ve edited and authored several impactful reports, including UKGBC’s Climate Resilience Roadmap; Built for the Environment (presented to COP26 and endorsed by 300+ organisations); Fostering Prosperity: Economic Benefits of Environmental Regulation for the Aldersgate Group; and multiple studies for C40 on how cities can deliver affordable housing, inclusive governance, resilient public space, and thriving local economies.
I’ve written for the architectural press including Architects’ Journal, Dezeen, Architectural Review, and RIBAJ. I’ve also contributed to The Guardian, Financial Times, Green Alliance, and BusinessGreen, and appeared on podcasts, BBC News, and BBC Radio.
