Energy Research Consultant and Lead Author on CIBSE TM67 Electrification of Buildings for Net Zero , independent

Tony is an independent consultant specialising in low carbon solutions in the built environment. Tony started his career in hospital engineering before joining London South Bank University to teach and research building services engineering. At LSBU he established the MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems, and was instrumental in setting up the Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings (CEREB). After a short spell in industry with Team (EAA Ltd), in 2012 he joined the newly established International Energy Research Centre (IERC) at the Tyndall National Institute in Cork as Executive Director. Here he built a successful research team with a focus on strong industry collaboration in areas such as smart grids, peer-to-peer energy trading, low carbon buildings, and enhanced deployment of low carbon solutions.
