Director of Energy House Labs , University of Salford

Professor Will Swan is the Director Energy House Labs research unit, a collection of 5 labs including Energy House 1 and Energy House 2.0, exploring all aspects of energy and buildings. His team has delivered major research and innovation projects in both new build and retrofit including the recent 3-year Future Homes Innovation Accelerator, funding by Innovate UK. He has held a number of national and regional governmental advisory roles. The team work includes the Friends of Energy House Charity, which supports education and community projects. He has published a wide number of articles in the field of retrofit. Energy House Labs was recently awarded the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Education.
