Yetunde Abdul is Director of Industry Transformation at the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), where she leads work to accelerate fundamental change across the built environment in response to the climate and nature crises. In this role, she oversees initiatives focused on aligning industry action on climate mitigation, resilience, and nature, scaling sustainable solutions, and advancing circular economy approaches. She brings a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering and environmental consultancies, property investment, certification bodies, and government. Originally trained as a life scientist, she specialises in translating sustainability ambition into practical, scalable delivery across complex systems.
A Chartered Environmentalist, Yetunde has worked across the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia and brings an international perspective on how policy, finance, and collaboration can unlock a resilient, net zero built environment that delivers environmental and social value at scale.
