Hear from our community why Futurebuild is the only UK event dedicated to connecting specifiers to innovations in the built environment.
We decided to become a sponsor and an exhibitor because we wanted to make quite a presence and try to stand out from the crowd. Another successful and busy exhibition at Futurebuild, where we once again showcased our Strock wall, constructed on-site.
Futurebuild connects us with a diverse range of industries, offering a level of exposure we don’t typically experience in our day-to-day work. It’s incredible to see so many people engaging with us, and the number of leads we’ve generated has been great!
Futurebuild 2025 was an incredible event for The Agency. Sharing a stand with our partners from the University of Salford & their team, we received a lot of enquiries from businesses looking for product testing and commercialisation support, which our partnership is perfectly aligned to deliver. We will be back in 2026 for sure!
Over the years of attending Futurebuild, I’ve discovered there’s a huge amount of activity in the sustainability space. Regardless of leadership at government or local planning levels, the real energy comes from the grassroots action happening all around. Futurebuild brings out the optimism in the industry as you’re surrounded by people working toward a common goal. The biggest impact on my work has come from mixing with like-minded individuals from different backgrounds—systems thinkers, retrofit specialists, bamboo experts—all offering unique perspectives. This melting pot of knowledge and experience is powerful for broadening my understanding and strengthening my network.
Four years, countless conversations, and a mission that only grows stronger. Walking into Futurebuild, there’s a familiar energy – one that’s all about innovation, collaboration, and driving real change in retrofit. From the entrance of Excel London to the Retrofit Academy stands, finishing in the National Retrofit Conference Stage area, this hyperlapse captures just a glimpse of the show floor before the swells. Proud to be here once again with The Retrofit Academy, for my fourth consecutive year on the trot, championing skills, standards, and solutions for a net-zero future.
It’s the second time I’ve visited Futurebuild, and what I think is wonderful is how it prioritises current design needs for adaptation of the built environment to the climate crisis. It does that through creating a common space for both thought-provoking ideas but also products and services that support delivery. It’s no surprise, both times I have met great people leading new initiatives in the industry, which has made me excited about being able to create change.
A huge thank you to Martin Hurn and the team at Futurebuild for looking after us! Already looking forward to Futurebuild 2026!
Futurebuild has to be a key part of everybody’s calendar. Futurebuild is actively searching out young innovative companies and innovators and bringing them all into one space.
Well, I would say if you haven’t been here before, you’re missing a huge opportunity. By the way, it doesn’t cost anything, it’s free, so come along and have a look. I can’t think of a better event in terms of the diversity of different speakers and debates. You really do get an amazing glimpse of the supply chain. So, if you’re in the world of take it back to my industry, architecture and you need to know what stuff looks like, you’ve got to come to Futurebuild to have a look at it. And if you’re interested in developing ideas that are in the industry at the moment and emerging ideas, again, you can get that at Futurebuild as well.
We’re regulars at Futurebuild, we come here every year. We find it a pretty invaluable place to connect with our customers and future customers. A lot of the messages Futurebuild reinforces are messages that we share, and that’s one of the main reasons we wanted to sponsor a stage here.
The day consisted of many panel discussions on key topics such as AI in construction, timber in construction and embodied carbon. I had a fantastic time connecting with industry professionals and exploring the future of sustainable building.
It’s an fabulous event. Futurebuild is now our number one go-to exhibition of the whole year. What a fantastic event Futurebuild was this year. Brilliant to see the National Home Decarbonisation Group (NHDG) Hub full of our members supporting retrofit at scale and more importantly, supporting innovation through the ‘Big retrofit challenge’. Many thanks to Innovate UK for its critical input into this process and to The Retrofit Academy for allowing us to showcase these great innovations on the National Retrofit Conference main stage.
I recently had the opportunity to attend at Excel London and was truly impressed by the innovation taking place in the build and survey sectors. It was a pleasure to speak with industry leaders and explore future collaborations between marXact & companies like Kier Group and more…
Fantastic week at Futurebuild! It was great to meet so many like minded individuals and showcase what Quidos has to offer! Now to sift through the hundreds of connections and see how together we can make this industry fit for purpose!!
I had a fantastic time at 2025 at Excel London last week! Some of the most interesting discussions centred around the Golden Thread of information and its importance for ensuring building safety under the Building Safety Act.
It’s the one time in a year where the whole sector comes together and learns from each other and from experts.
Futurebuild offers a valuable opportunity to step outside the familiar and explore what’s new in the industry. Rather than staying limited by the usual supply chain, the event opens up fresh perspectives and showcases innovations that may not be visible in day-to-day work. It’s a space to discover new ideas, technologies, and connections that can help move the industry forward.
It’s been a week since Futurebuild and what a year it was! The conversations were bigger, the challenges were tougher, and the urgency to fix heat networks was louder than ever.
It was fantastic to make new connections and catch up with familiar faces. A key takeaway for me was the strong message of “people-led retrofit” from the sessions at the Retrofit Stage—something I’m keen to explore further this year. Great to see the Regenerative Architecture Index represented as well—plenty of food for thought and reflections to continue to bring into our practice.
What a fantastic show we had last week at Futurebuild! It was exhausting, exhilarating and inspiring, all at the same time. We had great conversations with new contacts looking to do b2b construction marketing properly, and a number of our clients came to visit us, making it our best expo to date! One real highlight was seeing our clients and fellow exhibitors AGREKA BUILD LTD win the Big Innovation Pitch for their unique Wheatex product. Needless to say, we’ve already booked again for next year. And I’m only too aware how quickly 12 months go.
Great Connections and Big Conversations at Futurebuild 2025!What an incredible time at Futurebuild 2025 – a brilliant opportunity to connect with some of the key voices driving innovation and sustainability in the retrofit industry. Events like Futurebuild are so important for moving the industry forward – innovation, collaboration, and shared knowledge are the keys to success.
Futurebuild is really, really good in terms of that networking capability and the fact that we can meet people from all aspects of the construction sector supply chain. I think Futurebuild is critical, really, in terms of education to the construction sector.
At Futurebuild, the primary objective is to meet industry leaders, potential clients, and partners. Today, I was speaking on the podium alongside three other speakers—one of whom is our client, and another is someone from the industry we engage with regularly to exchange ideas. For us, attending these events is about improving our business stature, staying in the market, and connecting with the right people—those we need to be talking to in order to grow and innovate.
I’ve got much to reflect on having returned from a busy few days at Futurebuild, over and above representing Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions’ excellent new wall solution. A smaller show than in previous years, perhaps, but it seemed busy, and the quality of the discussions and seminars was excellent.
I attended the 20th anniversary edition of Futurebuild at Excel, London. As a first-time visitor, I was struck by the vibrant energy in the room—a refreshing contrast to other sustainability-focused events I’ve attended. One standout aspect? The event design. It was impressive to see such a strong emphasis on effective communication & marketing – an area often taking a backseat in sustainability. From innovative stands to thought-provoking presentations, engaging with manufacturers & companies pushing the boundaries with planet-saving materials & products was inspiring.
