Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs)

Description

We have developed new Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs) to comply with the new requirements of the BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition). Europa AFDDs detect electrical arcing faults that MCBs, RCCBs and RCBOs cannot detect.

Current Range
Wide current range 6 to 40A.

Instantaneous tripping currents
Available in both B and C curves.

1 Module device
At 18mm wide, Europa AFDDs will fit in the Europa Sentinel consumer units using the standard busbar (no requirement for a special busbar).

Incorporated RCBO
Protects against short circuit currents, overload currents, residual current not exceeding 30mA and parallel arc fault current (L-E).

Fully Compliant
Conforms to EN/BS EN 61009-1 Residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection for household and similar uses (RCBOs).
