Bill will discuss a range of different construction techniques, design strategies and masterplans that can deliver a durable non toxic home or workplace with no net annual energy bills. Examples ranging from volumetric off site to local pop up assembly lines could provide large numbers of additional affordable homes without using any existing industry capacity and without using any materials that contributed the Grenfell fire load.
Bill designed BedZED for the Peabody Trust in 1998 and has been trying to perfect a climate neutral vernacular and its associated supply chain ever since.
