She is a strong advocate for inter-disciplinary application of science in uncertain real-world settings: using the best available evidence, evaluating outcomes, applying expert judgement, and sharing knowledge.
Ruth has worked on a wide range of projects within Natural England and has broad multi-disciplinary experience.
Ruth was the lead scientist in the team supporting Prof Sir Partha Dasgupta on the independent review of The Economics of Biodiversity and was the co-author of the Nature Positive 2030 report published in 2021.
