Tomás is an advocate of ecological and environmental design.
Tomás and his family live in the first certified Passivhaus in the English-speaking world, completed in 2004. He has co-drafted several national Best Practice Guidelines on Passivhaus and has played a lead consulting role on many iconic projects including a 26 story Passivhaus tower in Manhattan.
MosArt is currently working on 2.5 million square feet of Passivhaus projects, including a 48-story dorm in London, a 600-unit public housing project in Dublin and a gallery in Edinburgh. The scale of Passivhaus projects being developed in the past few years in truly breath-taking.
Tomás is also a lead-educator globally on Passivhaus and high-performance buildings. He has taught and inspired some 2,000 Certified Passivhaus Designers in North America, Ireland and the UK and has noticed a rapid increase in interest from the UK in the past year on all-things Passivhaus related.
